CS 6250 Computer Networks Note - in progress

About the course

Georgia Tech’s CS6250 Computer Networks course assumes that students already possess a bachelor-level foundation in computer network science, as introductory undergraduate topics like IP addresses, subnets, TCP/UDP, and the OSI model are only briefly reviewed. Students are expected to have intermediate Python 3 proficiency and must utilize a dedicated course Virtual Machine (VM) to complete hands-on systems projects, including the Spanning Tree Protocol (10%) , Distance Vector Routing (15%) , SDN Firewall (15%) , and BGP Measurements (15%). Performance is evaluated through these projects (55% total) , weekly Content Quizzes (5%) , Tutorials Quizzes (10%) , and two Honorlock-proctored exams (Exam 1: 15%, Exam 2: 15%).
